“Partying Shots”

Yesterday was my big footwear industry event and I must say it went very well.  They came, they schmoozed with my clients, ate some great food, sipped delicious wine and left in a great mood.  And best of all there was a media photographer there to record it all.

Pitching your event as a story in itself is important.  Everything, including parties, has potential for getting visibility for your company and brand.  In this case, I had contacted the events reporter from one of the major footwear trades and thank goodness they came and brought their photographer, ensuring a great spread of the party in an upcoming issue.  So when you put together an event don’t forget that this is yet another opportunity for coverage.  And if a media photographer doesn’t come, you can always hire your own photographer and then send the images to your specific trades and local magazines.
