Bargain Hunting

TODAY’S BUZZ TIP | June 26, 2009

Today’s economy has prompted everyone to watch their wallet and keep careful track of their budgets and editors are answering the call by focusing on stories/featuring products with this new consciousness in mind.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been asked over the past few months for products under a certain price point….shoes under $100, clothes under $75.00, etc.  And just recently Lucky Magazine, the bible for fashionistas, dedicated a whole issue to items (including clothes, shoes, jewelry, beauty products) under $100 — the whole issue.  They were really on a mission.  So it’s a great time to do a pitch that focuses on price points,  the lower, the better.  And if you have a service that helps people save or manage their money, then definitely pitch that as well.  As always, though, do your research.  Search for stories on the subject then tailor a pitch that’s just a little different.  Come up with a new spin to this popular theme.

If you are still interested in being part of the Holiday Gift Guide campaign, then send an email to marina@realmny.com with a description of your product/s and images.  Fee: $225.00.  Payment is due upon acceptance of product for inclusion in this promotion.  Act quickly as I will not be taking any new submissions after June 30, 2009.

  1. Thanks for this great blog. I love following your posts.

Regarding bargain hunting, i started a blog with two other mommies. We love deals but some many sites reviewed things that were still so expensive. At weefinds.com you will find products that are useful, essential, or just plain fun but all of them will be under $25!
