Let’s face it, most of us are online video junkies. Who could resist the Susan Boyle video which ended up getting around 100 million hits. How did this happen? Well, the answer is that it went viral! Yes, it spread like a virus. Sites like YouTube are so successful because they allow viewers to pass their favorite videos to friends, post on social media sites and even upload to their own websites — effectively extending the reach of the video. And folks aren’t just watching online, they are also downloading and taking it with them on their iPod, iPhones, Playstation, you name it. It’s the Wild Wild West out there and you should get in on the action.
Not to toot my own horn, but we are one of the very few PR firms that actually has an in-house video production department. My partner leads this division which includes everything from concept to production of videos, epks and marketing and advertising spots. You
can see some of this work by clicking the Visual Media section on the site (www.realmny.com), which includes a reel highlighting programming we edited for AOL. And the beauty of it all is that after the video is created, the PR dept, c’est moi, can then go gangbusters and implement a that will spread your video, like, yes, a virus.
And even popular blogs like Daily Candy are getting in on the fun. They just launched Daily Candy Video, another vehicle for your masterpiece. Check it out here:
