Sampling Program

How do you create the most enthusiastic, buzzing fan base?  Put your products in customers’ hands and let them spread the word themselves.  Let them feel, touch, experience your product to create that emotional attachment.

Companies like Kashi spend a large chunk of their marketing budgets mailing free samples (just sign onto their website, request a free sample, and in a few weeks you’ll get their latest cookie, brownie or granola bar concoction!) because they understand the power of sampling marketing methods.  If you don’t have quite the budget that Kashi has, use this model but on a smaller scale.

Think about your demographic.  Is it the mom-crowd?  Then rent a table at a local farmers market and have moms there test your product.  Is your target children?  Find out where the area fairs are, and buy some space there to sample to families.   Utilize the money, tools and events that are within reach and take advantage of them!  Now go out and touch those consumers.
