In a recent Buzz I provided the link to the 2010 Top Media Outlets. Well, at the top of the blog category sits The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post was co-founded by Arianna Huffington a longtime syndicated columnist and author of 12 books. What started as a news and blog site in 2005 has become, and I quote, “one of the most widely-read, linked to and frequently-cited media brands on the Internet.”
With its wide range of topics, covering everything from Politics, Media, Sports, Comedy, Religion, Style…you name it, there are plenty of story opportunities; but to be covered it has to have a real news spin, be controversial, eye popping, relevent to a new trend, etc. They won’t just feature your company because it’s great. Tie it into something bigger than your brand and you might have a shot.
