Media Wednesday: Rolling Stone

Rolling Stone is not one to shy away from controversial covers and their September issue proves that and then some!  TrueBlood’s Alexander Skarsgard, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer don their TrueBlood costumes for this steamy pictorial.  The show is becoming something of a cult in terms of the fanaticism of its legion of fans, myself included.  But I’m not here to talk about TB. It’s about Rolling Stone, that iconic magazine that has been around ever since 1967 and was initially famous for its political coverage.  Now it’s widely considered the bible for the music industry; and, after a period focusing mostly on popular music, it is once again putting substance over style with politics again a major presence on the editorial menu as are artists, movies, culture and, of course, music.

You can check out upcoming coverage on the editorial calendar found here:  http://www.srds.com/mediakits/rollingstone/editcal.html. They even have a great Holiday Gift Guide that features cool toys, music related gadgets — basically anything that fits the Rolling Stone persona.
