Buzz Worthy: Waves

The Fashion Night Out event for Coclico on Friday night was a huge success by many counts — one of them being the lovely ambiance.  One of the most important aspects of an event is the theme and the ambiance that is created.  In this case, the theme was French 1930s and key for pulling this off was the use of props from that era.  In our search we stumbled upon a vintage store in New York City called Waves.  Waves is located in the Showplace Antiques Center on 25th Street and is one of the only places in the world where you can buy and rent vintage phonographs, radios, telephones and televisions.  To say the least I was elated when I found them. The shop is run by Bruce and Charlotte Mager, who have been buying, selling and renting these electronic gems for decades.  You can even find a picture of them on the site circa 1970s.  What a find!!

So, if you need some props for your next event be it 1950s Mad Men or the Roaring 20s, look no further than Waves.
